How to obtain a CPR certification

CPR is not just for medical professionals. Yes, we do offer American Heart Association (AHA) classes geared towards doctors, nurses, paramedics, and EMTs but we also have options available that are not intimidating for the average person.

There is no need to be intimidated by the process. You have taken the first step in obtaining a CPR certification and that is research.

Online certification or in person?

We offer several options in classes. It really depends on what certification you are looking for.

If you want to do a hands-only CPR, AED, First Aid class we recommend you take that one in person. This class is normally geared towards the layman who has minimal exposure to medicine and the hands on approach is great to allow our staff to personalize the training to you or your group. Hands only CPR is not a certification course, so no cards will be issued. This is more geared towards getting the basics of CPR out into our communities to help save lives.

A very popular option is our HeartSaver blended course, we offer the online portion of CPR AED online, so you can learn the book and skills at your own pace at home. Then you will come into our location, or we can come to you (requires additional planning) this again allows us to work one-on-one with the student to ensure competency.

Medical professionals looking for BLS, ACLS, PALS also have options regarding blended courses.

How long does a CPR certification last?

Although the skills and knowledge never expires your certification does.

The most popular option in certification is the American Heart Association (AHA) standard. After certification in that agency your CPR certification will be good for 2-years.

Prior to the end of the 2-years we recommend recertifying with us.

Our software system will attempt to remind you, but we recommend you placing it manually on your calendar.

What is it like getting a CPR certification?

We attempt to cater to all personality types, whether you are the type that wants to enroll online with minimal interaction, or call and be assisted throughout the process we are here to help you.

We offer online enrollment in our courses, so you could find a class, schedule it, do the online portion, and then show up to our classes with minimal effort or interaction.

However, once you get to L.E.T.S. to do the hands-on portion, we try to make it fun and entertaining. It is not a stressful environment and the emphasis is on comfort in learning.

Our instructors have tons of experience in multiple fields and can cater your learning to your specific use case.

Group trainings

An often overlooked, but popular option is to have our trainers come to your location.

We can do trainings at restaurants, neighborhood club houses, doctors offices, business offices, or homes for groups and families.

Contact us for more information about setting up a group training session.
